Job Fair related app question:
I had been advised multiple times to include my Other time in the Total Time calculation for each airframe on AirlineApps because "it is important that the math adds up on each page"..and that if United didn't want to count them (understandably so), they would subtract it from your total since the type of hours is laid out plainly. I just found out that that may NOT be the case and I edited my app accordingly, but could this be a sore spot when it comes to the job fair and/or getting an interview invite? I only had ~250 Other hours which bumped my total down to ~3400TT (3300 mil turbine), but I'm more worried about having edited the app post job fair invite. I know that the whole "Other" time debate is its own can of worms and I am not trying to open it. Thanks |

Im sending you a PM... fellow AFSOC guy
I kind of have a similar question. For instance, I got the invite. Then I went through the app and made sure all dates, jobs, addresses where correct. I did find some errors but corrected them. I did not inflate/deflate the app however (i.e. added/removed positions, or Flt time). Just corrected for errors mainly. Would this be a problem? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
We need more AFSOC guys on board!
Good Luck~ PM me if there are any questions you have, or if there is also anything I can do to help. Always Motch (ex7th SOS LM) |

Experience Recommendations
My apologies if this is the wrong thread but looking for thoughts and insight from the group on next steps to make my flight experience more attractive to United.
Currently have the base minimums for United currently flying 135 on a Citation Excel. I have the opportunity to move to a much better paying Part 91/135 job on the same metal or go back to 121 on the Airbus with an ULCC. Have some 121 experience with a regional a few years back but no 121 TPIC. Education - Master Degree, Military - No, Volunteer Work - Yes, Internal United Recommendations - 0, Job Fairs Attended - 0 |

Congratulations to all of those who received an invite! Wishing you all the best of luck in your pursuit of slots at United. Although I did not end up not being part of the 300 civilian invites, I did take the time to make sure I was prepared in case an email did pop up in my inbox. I made a hotel reservation at the Hilton Double Tree in Denver, across from the United Training Center for September 18th and 19th. I'm not sure what the availability of rooms are looking like for the event, but if they are sold out and anyone is interested in taking my reservation, send me a private message. Hopefully I can simply transfer the reservation over to one of you. I'll check my messages on here periodically. If the room has been taken, I'll try to reply to every inquiry letting you all know it's gone. That will hopefully help ensure that you all who message me (after the room has been released) still have time to secure alternate accommodations.
Once again, good luck to you all! |

FWIW, all hope should not be lost for those who did not get a job fair invite: a friend who did not make the cut for a job fair invite just received a Hogan link email a few days ago.
I can’t wrap my head around that one, but there it is. |
