Soooooo isn’t that what interviews are for? They like what they see on paper so invite them out to confirm the applicants fit?

Hopefully for United’s sake Delta, Southwest or FEDEX doesn’t call while we waste everyone’s time pre-interviewing the top applicants.

I'm left wondering if it has a negative impact if you are unable to attend. Just my luck, it is viewed as not being "totally committed", otherwise you would make it no matter what. Hopefully that is not the case.

Aside from deployment, I'd say probably yes.

Would this pre-intreview count as partial credit for the real deal?

Is anyone actually bringing their logbooks or just the resume

Don't bring anything they haven't asked to see. If its like the last UAL hosted event in 2016, all you will get is 2-3 minutes for your elevator speech in a group setting.

Its likely that you are going to be in small groups and the recruiter will end up ranking you somehow relative to who is in your group. I don't suspect that you will get much if any 1v1 time with a recruiter away from your group.

Have some extra resumes on hand to give to people that you meet at dinner or in the parking lot etc. You never know if you will be talking with a person that just happens to be able to network you into your next job.

Thanks for the info. The 'ticket' I have shows 15 minutes of designated time which I perceived at first to be a 1-on-1 but you suggest it'll be in a group setting. Interesting. Not what I had in mind.

In 2016 it was groups but this could be different but the results are the same. 15 minutes is enough time for pleasantries, tell me about yourself and Why United along with 2-3 questions from you.

Be engaging, positive and genuine. If given advice on how to improve your resume...accept it with enthusiasm.

I appreciate it.

I'm really looking forward to the event:D

For the event in Denver:

You will have 10-15 minutes one-on-one with a recruiter (pilot or HR). There will not be any group interviews.

Please bring an updated copy of your resume. You can bring additional resumes if you wish.

The dress code is business formal, not business casual.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 07:34 PM.
