I’ve been here over 5 years. I bid the 756 in training and it was great. Reserve in EWR wasn’t awful. Everything was commutable and we never had to worry about covering LGA. I was on reserve about 18 months. Only this year did I switch to the Bus, and that was because ORD (my home) on the 756 was becoming ubër senior with wave after wave of guppy refugees. Otherwise, loved the airplane(s) and variety.

My point here is if you’ve got a Midwest/East coast guy who’s going to commute anyway, maybe the 756 isn’t a bad call. I can’t imagine you’d be stuck in SFO very long before you could transfer to EWR.

Good for them, but why on earth are we continuing to do this kind of hiring?
