737 MAX 10 gear

No, but just about always, a new engine will be sized and even flight tested for higher growth thrust ratings. It's like the GW issue. You want more, all you have to do is pay for it.

A larger engine, meaning fan size, means redesigning the architecture of the engine and the airframe structure to support it. And then getting that certified. A long multi year process.
But again this new gear does NOT change the ground clearance, so a bigger fan isn’t going to happen.

I hope no pilots on here bid 737 Capt in IAH.
Plane absolutely sucks. MAX9 flies horribly.......not.
And I remember when the Bus went really junior at UAL because it sucked too. Now it’s all the rage 20 years later.
Then we can talk about the guys who wouldn’t bid up from the 727 because they were afraid of glass cockpits.
Or legacy U where the use of VNAV was prohibited.
Or.......
I like the MAX9. And I’ll wait to see how the 10 is the day I push back from the gate......
I don’t buy them, just fly them.

There is a long term need to replace 50 Seaters with bigger aircraft, and there is an immediate need to ensure we have enough pilots trained and ready to fill the cockpits of our feeder aircraft.
That's a direct quote, the MEC appears to be taking on the role of airline exec and using "we" and "our" with respect to RJ flying and 50 seat aircraft replacement. While I agree RJ flying IS "our" flying, we have scope provisions that can and will force the company's hand if we're patient enough to let it work. The company will absolutely let ALPA pay to solve their problem and with the latest cartoons, I'm concerned the MEC might be taking the bait. Line pilots need to watch how this this aspect of negotiations proceed VERY carefully.
Back on topic......it's still just a Guppy.
