Oh man, we can only hope that these rectal pirates get the proper flush they deserve.

Uh....
Pan American World Airways
Braniff
TransWorldAirlines
Northwest Airlines

Hate to break this to you, but airlines go out of business all the time, and into bankruptcy even more often.

Ah yes, the old "this time it's different"...….

"we won't ever have another recession"
"the end of history!!"
"peace in our time"

"Stalingrad is secured"

The reasons and details tend to differ, but the main narratives seldom really change. For those who weren't alive in 1982, they will almost certainly see airline failures amongst current high flyers again before their career comes to a close.

Hope that I am wrong, but don't (literally) bank on me being wrong.

How about the Delta and United bankruptcies? Most of the older Delta guys could tell you they once had a defined benefit pension plan...almost.

Yeah, yeah, but this time it will be different....

Which Braniff? 1,2 or 3? Some of us were.

So you think "most" airline pilots are less than 36 years old?
