Stupid question. Is it possible to read the LOA at this time? I looked through my union emails and didn't see it. If it was sent, can someone give me a date?
Personally, I consider this to be a big win for the pilots.

Negotiating Committee Update "The Brief", November 2, 2018

Content Locker, Communications, LOA 18-06. Paragraph C references the part in the contract about the 50 hrs.

I don't understand why some can't get this. It's all about options - having them = good. For everyone wanting the same option, there's seniority.

Its the same guys that complain about how the senior pilots get all the good deals, and then as soon as they can hold a higher paying category, immediately bid up to it and complain about how terrible reserve is.

I'm guessing reserve coverage will stay the same. If you're super senior you will get to drop a trip that takes you below 50. The rest of us will have to hope someone sees our drop request and pick up our trip. Pretty much manpower neutral. To get this we gave up transfer days <18 months (manpower positive) and end of month conflict (manpower positive). I hope our negotiating committee steps up their game, because they just cost us some pilots.
