50 hour floor is no more

I was happy to see that the LOA was finally signed to eliminate the 50 hour trade floor. This is a huge benefit to us to now be able to drop to zero if desired! I know we’ve gone back and forth in the past, but it’s nice to now have this flexibility back

So, local pilots and local reserves get first shot, then anything after 1pm is open to everyone. There are additional restrictions for an out of base pickup for more time off between trips, I think 30 hours, but that is just my recollection

I don't think people understood the impact this had on our operation. Less open time until people banged out sick within the real time window, more reserves being used to cover what a lineholder would have happily picked up, lineholders flying less than their ideal trips because a senior guy was sitting on a monster trip worth too much to drop... I was dropping down to the point of not recieving paychecks and then working my ass off the next few months when I felt like it. It was fantastic to work when you wanted too and have that kind of flexibility. The 50 hr window was a huge setback when it was enforced.
