two questions

I think one of the things that needs to happen is systemwide open access to all calendars, including schedule history. You would be surprised how many people currently have their schedule blocked (intentionally or unintentionally)
ChalupaBatman, how do you really feel?
Not defending the guy, but there are people who work the system and pick up/trade out of base with premium pay.
Again, if a pairing is picked up out of base a fake dh is added to both ends of the trip.
There are those that work hard for their money and there are those who work smart for their money. Being able to swap/drop a high hard time then pick up one with ppu or a dhd on one end is an easy way to make lots of extra money and or work less for the same pay. Perhaps it’s time you bid a BES that gives you seniority/ability to actually do these things.
For those that are frustrated with people getting good trips. I reinterate you to learn how our trip trade system works. I was blown away with what some guys could do and you know what I did? I didn’t scream bloody murder. I read, read some more, asked anyone who seemed to have an idea of what’s going on lots of questions. It’s complex but not rocket science.

Yeah man. I did and I’m happy with things. But this guy is straight up stealing. He has someone on the inside feeding him. That is what I’m upset about.

No!
Seniority is seniority.
Seniority within your base is that. It's just that!
Freaking PDR everything.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
make the union accountable to stop this crap.
if we make our union work it's arse off tracking this crap and answering for it, and explaining it, and defending it, and justifying it, etc, it will stop. Once the union has to invest too much time and energy into the tracking and managing of the abrogation of seniority it will end.
We pay dues to insure seniority is honored. Let the games begin!

A few have this same set up! it's like counting cards in Vegas. Once the house is on to you they ask you to leave and never come back - the jig is up. No one is lucky ALL the TIME! You can't count a 7 deck stack and be that lucky all the time. Same goes for schedule manipulation.

If this thread is shut down, I think it’s possible proof of guilt of more than one party, and the full knowledge of ALPA and/or management. If the PDR’s don’t yield results, file a HR claim.
Probably time for some ALPA and management housekeeping on computer access permissions. If you’re not active in a union or management position, you shouldn’t have any permissions greater than the line pilots.

From my understanding, unless the trip has an actual dead head built into the original pairing I’m pretty sure and fake DH will not be supplied for an out of base pick up. Is this wrong and should I be getting a sweet heart fake dead head next time I pick up an out of base trip?

Really? That’s news to me and I’ve picked up a fair amount of trips out of base for straight pay Europe trips or the one off 100%.

From June 1st MEC update:
Enhancements to Out-of-Base Trip Trades for Basic Trips
Effective June 1, the process for administering Out-of-Base Lineholder Trip trades for Basic Trips will be improved, which should make it easier for Out-of-Base Lineholders to be considered legal to pick up Out-of-Base Basic trips. This update provides information on the need for a one-minute Fake DHD to build these Trips, why pilots need to be aware of the potential for different CCO times within a crew, and the type of training crew schedulers have received regarding this new procedure.

A fake is always added to the front and end of the trip. It's NOT a fake that gives you positive space travel, though. It's put there because they technically have to change the trip to your base, so they do a 1 minute fake on both sides. I pick up out of base often.
