I completed the CP meet and greet in November. Got the invite just after Christmas. I completed my interview last week and got the CJO. The invite was about 3 weeks after I completed the meet and greet. Good luck to all and hopefully you will hear something soon.

were you already polished up or did you use an interview prep service?

I already had some interview prep, but it’s not really necessary IMO. It’s more of a conversation and a resume review. They did ask for me to give them an intro and asked Why United, so I’d say be ready for that. Overall it was a great experience. After I was offered the interview I used Cage Marshal, and it was a really great experience.

How were you able to get a CP meet and greet invite? Feels like there’s no info on that.

it’s driven by a current pilot, they have to set it up with their cp. I think each CPO has their own protocol for setting up the meeting.

My buddy set it up with the EWR Chief Pilot Office. They sent out an email to the current base pilots asking for resumes of people they think would be good candidates. Then if you’re selected from the stack of resumes they will offer you a date and time. Then you and your United “sponsor” (friend that set it up for you) do the meet and greet together.

How far out was that booked?

FWIW, I did a M&G on 1/5, got the hogan test exactly 2 weeks later, interview invite 2 days after the hogan. The M&G was very laid back. I had no idea what to expect, so I wore a suit and I’d recommend the same for everyone else. Treat it like the real interview, however it was just a big conversation about myself and why United. It was actually a GREAT experience. The CP told me he had been doing a few per day and always waited until Fridays to send the list of names to recruiting, as to not bombard them with a million separate emails.

ORD specifically says to NOT wear a suit.

Noted.. I did IAH and had absolutely zero info going in. My advice then would be to ask your pilot sponsor what to wear.
