You’re right. Maybe we should also give up more codeshare too, since Singapore, ANA, Thai, and many of the star alliance partners offer a better product too. :rolleyes:

If UA flies profitable customers on large RJs to hubs where they connect to other large RJs or JV flights, who is the "we"? (Rhetorical question.)

Since the UAL and DAL contact language is virtually identical, it sure would be great to figure out DAL's secret method of unlocking additional large RJs for those profitable customers. I wonder if they will tell us if we ask nicely? And while we are at it, maybe we can figure out a plan to fill the gap between 76 and 130 seat airplanes. I bet there's a bunch of profitable customers in markets too small for RJs. But, alas, we'll never really know will we? Those DAL guys are really sharp and I doubt they'll spill the beans.

If you think giving away scope to make up for the Delta cost structure (ATL) is a good idea, it’s not. Smisek drove away a huge chunk of corporate contracts and pocketed the short term gains, I have no interest in helping to buy them back. This company is posting ten figure profits, they will be just fine without us gutting our scope section.

76-Seat Aircraft (above 153 such Aircraft) may be added on a one 76-Seat Aircraft for each one and one quarter New Small Narrowbody Aircraft (1:1.25)

You have to travel on a crap 50 seat RJ because in the past our union didn't do enough to protect our jobs. Too late for me, but not too late for the young bucks wandering the halls these days sporting a halfwing. I say, better late than never. Willis already has enough money to spit polish the operation. They just want more RJ drivers and fewer of us.
