Bo could hit, run, and deal with rogue pilots. Bo knows Flight Office. He could do it all.

Could there be fire when you see that much smoke?

SFO has a revolving door of flight managers. And a Total turn over of office staff.

My first hand exp is twice negative. Once pressure was applied when unwarranted, and the other time I was left unsupported when I needed it.

This is disappointing. Sounds like LCAL “Chiefs”. If anyone, a gate agent, a flight attendant, a cleaner, accused you of anything you were guilty until proven innocent. The first question asked in any interaction was,” what is your sick bank”. Good pilots had heavy sick banks. Bad pilots had low sick bank hours. The chief pilots office was to be avoided if at all possible. Hopefully this is not a trend. The LUAL way of flight office mgt. thankfully won out after the merger.

It’s not the Chief Pilots Office, it’s flight ops. Their office just happens to be there. Small but significant difference.

I’m in no way defending anything the SFO CP has/has not done to anyone in the past but just read the flight ops update and was touched to see what he, ACP Snow and former Flt Mgr Higgins did for one of our pilots who suffered a terrible bicycle accident months ago that landed him in a wheelchair , most likely for life. His seniority now holds captain and these three flew to SLC in full uniform to present him with his captain wings/uniform pieces and visit with the family. Not saying that makes up for anything in the past that any of you have personally witnessed (I’ve never had much interaction with the SFO CP) but certainly a step in the right direction.

Flight Operation’s main office is in Willis Tower with branch offices in pilot domiciles. The nuance is that the staffing and tone projected in the CPOs is intentional.

Whatever, it’s an office. The Chief Pilot sits there and keeps his stuff in a desk in that office. I’m gonna keep calling it that. I still use cockpit, jetway, and two T**ty coke machine so I may be getting fired soon.
