Guppy traffic is in the mid 30’s doing .79-.80 with little to no payload penalty. When I left the 757 fleet for the 737 I secretly hoped it would prove to be a failure over the Pacific so they would keep 757/767s on all my favorite cities in Hawaii. Having flown the 737 across the EastPac for several years now it has unfortunately done a great job and with APU on demand, we carry less unnecessary fuel for APU burn and rarely ever leave people either direction. I hope the new 321s have better performance than has been discussed as it might prove to be a lousy ride across the Atlantic that low.
A little birdie told me the MAX-10 (not all of them but many) will have single lie flats (1/1 seating in 1st class)for PS service. HUDS have also been ordered for the -10 and the -8(that will eventually replace all of our -800s).
