always funny when pilots say airline 'x' pays more because they see a few dollars more on a payscale guide.

I'll always argue that we (United) and Delta are close to the same..
When you look at how much you were paid vs. how much you actually flew. (Flight Hours vs. Credit Hours)

I'm good for a few grand a year on middle seat dh pay, then there's other little compensation that all adds up. (Add Pay)
End of the day, number one should be where do you live vs. where are the bases.
Then, what's movement like at the 2 carriers.
Last.. what's the 'attitude' of the 2 carriers.

Personally I think that Delta as a company will ALWAYS make more than we at United.. as a company.
However, I believe WE will always do more of our own flying and have more widebodies than our friends over a Delta. Something to also think about.

Can a pilot order a Muslim meal or a salad meal or a vegetarian meal at delta or United? That should be your deciding factor.

I do enjoy my Hindu meals, and my crew choice beef, and my gluten free breakfast!

Get rid of the crew meals and put that dollar in my paycheck ...

Crew meals are a joke .. (can’t speaking for the heavy guys )

It's some times tough flying the contract....
My phone isn't on when I'm asleep, overseas.
So I usually don't accept the soft start/reset... as happened the other day.
Result-
I deadheaded home while the other two pilots had to fly un-augmented to Canada and then deadheaded home themselves.
No COIN for me.. (not that I cared) but I believe they ended up with Reassignment pay, Late pay and Day Off restoration!

Good for them~

At the end of the day, it is what it is.

Nope. Not a joke when you’re at some podunk airport and everything is closed except for Nathan’s.

Quit thinking like an over the road trucker. We can have crew meals, perhaps improve them, and a pay raise.
