Default UAL or Delta

Delta or UAL?

UAL seems to have more movement and growth

Delta Pays more

Is UAL contract negotiations near completion?

Thoughts!

Find the hub from either that you and the family want to live in and choose that one. All differences between those two are ground into negligibility by the sands of time, that in the end the retirement plaque will simply say "Pilot, Big Airline, 2020 to 2055."

See who gives you an offer first.
If both simultaneously then see APC’s post.

Pick where you want to live.

At the moment United and Delta are a very close 1 and 2. Delta has better profit sharing but United has more hire paying pilot positions via Widebodies. Other than that Delta makes more money as a company and always will until they get a crap CEO.

Congrats on getting offers at both.

Delta pays more?

I saw a post on the 2019 thread. 717 delta ca and UAL 320 ca were within a couple grand of each other in total compensation.

Go to whichever one calls first and if the second one calls in the not too distant future, go to the one that has a domicile you want to live in.

What about American? Over the course of your career, the three are likely to positions multiple times as to who's best and worst.
Pick a domicile that you want to live in, as APC suggested.
Take the first job offered and if it doesn't have the domicile you want to live in, keep working on getting a job with the airline with your desired domicile.

Actually Delta will continue to make more as they continue to outsource their wide body flying to foreign carriers, I personally would take United unless 1.Delta calls you first or 2. You live in Atlanta

Both great companies, agree with others , you could pick apart the two but they are similar in many ways from a career stand point . I would pick the one that you could see your self moving to base .. if either one of those airlines has a major hub that you would move to , hands down go to that airline.

I’m a commuter and make it work and I’m used to it , but the amount of hours I am in the back or Jumpseat of an airplane makes me want to vomit .

the answer is whichever you don't commute to.

Does either pilot contract provide for a personal ball washer? I’d go with where I could get one of those.
