I was not here when we last furloughed, so I have a question. Does the Company or Union publish a “seniority list” of those who get furloughed? Or do we just have reference the system seniority list?

what do you mean come after us? on the surface it seems like a prudent sentiment to Foster, but on reflection it is far too vague to be helpful.
I personally happen to think that Scott Kirby is a worthy adversary, not your run-of-the-mill Corporate marauder. I think there have been plenty of CEOs who had their ego affronted by the power of our union, there were others who were shortsighted and just wanted to squeeze every ounce of blood from the proverbial stone.
I think Mr. Kirby has much larger designs. Literally. I would say it’s fairly obvious that he is motivated more by our footprint/marketshare then basic margins. Our interests are not exactly aligned by a long stretch, but you guys have to get your glasses fixed.
There are threats out there, but they are different than the last bankruptcy. The battlefield is dynamic, let’s keep our eye on the prize

There have been many statements saying that he wants to outsource everything to RJs in spite of the growth numbers indicating otherwise. Prior to the Covid crap, UAL mainline saw a higher annual growth rate than I can recall in the last 20 years.
I saw what he did in LAX when he was at

Considering how sensitive the whole issue is and how badly a number of the pilot group will be affected, I’m sure you’ll understand why I haven’t posted specifics or names. At this point I have no way to tell how accurate what I was personally told, is and I’m sure the number has been changing on a daily basis.
Also, I realize the term “mind boggling” is relative but the number I was told would be receiving WARN letters was far in excess of any number we been told, up to this point. As I said it was a “worst case“ scenario.
I’d expect letters this week as they only have to give 2300’ish 60 days notice. So the 90 days prior to Oct 1st isn’t as relevant.
Again, we’ll all know soon enough but my personal opinion is that Kirby is using this as his moment to come after us.

I'll give SK the benefit of the doubt for now. He was vilified by AMR AAL pilots on this board when he came here and that stink hasn't worn off.
There have been many statements saying that he wants to outsource everything to RJs in spite of the growth numbers indicating otherwise. Prior to the Covid crap, UAL mainline saw a higher annual growth rate than I can recall in the last 20 years.
I saw what he did in LAX when he was atAMR AAL. Darned near ran UAL out of LAX with his slick gate maneuvers so he's got some talent other than ticking off pilots.

I’ve stayed out of this thread up to now because it’s all conjecture and pure speculation by any of us and I simply didn’t want to add to anyone’s pain. Hell, the company doesn’t know what it’s going to be like in 3 months let alone 12. All they can do is look at the worst case, the best case and hope that something in the middle is close to what actually materialises.
I hope the numbers I’ve heard are wrong but if Kirby is as smart as I think he is, it makes good business sense to plan for the worst. He can always walk it back and we may even see that happening with a couple of the bases they’ve closed but if he doesn’t, he’s got his ducks in a row.
His only job is to keep UAL afloat and the shareholders happy and it’s for that reason I don’t trust him when it comes to “going after us”. If he senses an opportunity to get concessions out of us, he will because from a business sense he’d be mad not to.
Good luck to us all.

what you’re saying is contradictory. If the Warn letters are massive, surely they would exceed 2300ish, which means they would have already had to send them out by now for those hired prior to JAN 2016. What do you mean when you say you haven’t posted Names? What names are you referring to? You’ve stayed away from this thread because you don’t want to add to the speculation. I suggest you take your own advice
