Career Pathway Program. It was the predecessor to the current Aviate program. I think it was originally exclusive to ExpressJet pilots when the program was first created.

Interested to know when the first non-CPP "Aviate" folks get classes. Fortunate to have multiple offers from ACMI to LCC to Aviate, just trying to gauge the situation.

From what I’ve read ,No aviate guys have a class date yet , not a single one.
kinda makes you wonder

From what I’ve heard, not yet. Sounds like CPP pilots (who are currently the top ___% of Aviate) are being offered classes. So “new” Aviate pilots would be next. As mentioned above, sounds like the latest will be at least at the end of the year.

We were told if you meet the requirements, to expect a class by the end of the year, no matter where you are on the list.

I would second this.

It seems off-the-street is the way to go. I know some Aviate guys that successfully interviewed in 2019, have more than surpassed the requirements to go to United, and are sitting on the sidelines while off-the-street hires are in class a few weeks after they interview. Meaning:
Off-the-street, interview in 2021, go to class immediately.
Aviate, interview in 2019, and are still waiting for a class date and can expect “by the end of the year”.

YMMV
I think the program is set up for the newer guys who haven’t been in the industry long. If you are closer to the mins to get the interview on your own, you are probably better off taking that route. Either way, best of luck. It’s a great time to be in aviation.

It's a bit of a let-down. The Aviate program tries to make those pilots feel special and valued by United, but the reality is they are needed for the regional feed. They'll get to them when they feel like it, which is getting longer in time. Most were accepted in 2019, told to wait 6 months, and then Covid hit. After all that, let's wait indefinitely longer. There has been nothing official from Aviate in months on when to expect to go.

Uhhh, there were people accepted into the CPP in 2017 that still haven't gotten a class at United. Nobody forced anyone to do Aviate. They could've bypassed it, applied off the street, and hoped for an interview like the many thousands of other pilots.

I know a few CPP folks.. they got upcoming class dates for June. They finally got the call.
