Apparently I am supposed to fund my family and 100% of another pilots family. That’s is exactly what this travesty of a LOA is. There is seniority for a reason. You knew that the minute you applied. That’s why every one of you checked on how many United was hiring every month & how many people were beneath you or how close were to the G line. ..every F’n PBS bid.
I’m all in for assessments and furlough protection language IE current contract. Asking me to take a significant 120,000 pay cut just to see if United doesn’t furlough. is another story. |
Again!!!

I guess I won’t share this with a few buddies of mine who have completely lost their jobs at Virgin, BA, Emirates and Korean |
Respectfully, the plight of pilots at other airlines should not concern UA pilots when determining the merits of this AIP. Were you here when they were all writing to Congress urging them to deny U a loan after 9-11?
This is about our future, not theirs. |

It is only not 4200 for the initial division. Every quarter starting Q1 2021 it will be adjusted and the middle group must have at least 4200 pilots. By my pilot math if we do furlough the 2000 and retire 655, and this thing is active for the full two years, a very large percent of the active pilot group will be in the top two groups by the end. |

The size of the upper group is always 4200. The size of the lower group is 3900 as a starting point. As pilots move out of top group through retirement or EO, then everyone moves up. 4200 is not a hard number for middle group.

Just to reiterate that this is NOT correct. The middle and senior groups will always be 4200adjusted quarterly.
I-1.b.ii. At time of adjustment, the Senior group and the Middle group shall each never contain fewer than four thousand two hundred (4200) Pilots |
Interesting times first downturn when junior guys instead of furlough some will make more than senior folks. Strange times.

Junior narrowbody captains that might be furloughed (A small group) will get $270x35 which is $9380. Middle group Narrowbody FO's at 52 hours and $193 an hour will still make $10036. Please actually research and do the math before posting false claims like this. Weird times for sure for when people are completely apathetic to thousands of co-workers losing their jobs. |
