If the taxpayers had their say we all would have had a much larger cut than that by now.

The company didn't implement any of it in the way that the mec thought they would - shocking! How many times will pilots do this to themselves?

Pipe

thank you.

Understood, and your service is respected and appreciated... Just for perspective, I also was in the desert during portions of my nearly 10 years of involuntary furlough.

just to make sure you are doing your math correctly. read I.b.2 the senior and middle group MUST have 4200 pilot each. We will get 655 pilots to take EO2 and that will put me at the bottom of the middle group and you are senior to me. How does being in the middle group affect your pay?

The size of the upper group is always 4200. The size of the lower group is 3900 as a starting point. As pilots move out of top group through retirement or EO, then everyone moves up. 4200 is not a hard number for middle group.

I.1.b.ii The senior and middle group shall never consist of less than 4200 pilots.

It is only not 4200 for the initial division. Every quarter starting Q1 2021 it will be adjusted and the middle group must have at least 4200 pilots.

By my pilot math if we do furlough the 2000 and retire 655, and this thing is active for the full two years, a very large percent of the active pilot group will be in the top two groups by the end.

He’s been pretty vocal about being upset because of what somebody else gets....more so than how his pay is affected.

If you are a double furloughee, and you are basing this pay cut off of sub 50% demand numbers… Then you have a lot more to worry about than a the “pay cut.” If you aren’t a NB FO now, you will be bumped back and/or furloughed again. Maybe tell me what you think United looks like if we have sub 50% numbers next May. I don’t see it looking good for anyone outside the top 1500 or so.

Just so you are very clear about where you were going to stand if you have the AIP pay cut you are talking about. On the other hand, if we see numbers that don’t portend 5,000+ furloughs, you’ll probably be closer to a 7-10% cut compared to current UPA mind (which still is Very unpleasant when compared to pre-Covid pay).

I would be proud to show UAL management how we are WHOLE as a group.

Solidarity through division.

Yeah, ok...

Oh, and everyone at fed ex took the same cut including the mc. Actual unity.

I will follow our dear leader Insler, and vote to keep my pay the same.

Depending on BES you may either line your pockets or eat sand. The level of open time in my last seat was abysmal. It matters not what your pay rate is if you can only bring home X hours per month.

And correct me if I am wrong, but there will be guys bumped from the left seat to the right who will get to keep their Captains pay rate. They will likely be super senior in BES. They will be the ones slurpoing up the open time, and at Captains pay. And if the company is offering premium pay, they will be making more than the Captain. Nice work if you can get it. Eat sand if you can't.

Excellent point and you know people will abuse the system
