Yes! These guys on here on morons. Because they were abused kids in the 80s-90s..and can not move past the management is always screwing the pilots. They're running an airline. Kirby has a huge ego and his main objective is to crush American and Parker. Have we parked a fleet? 2-3 years from now..the no voters will be looked like scabs if not already.

Scabs, morons, parasites... at least everyone is something in your eyes. So glad you’ve got it all figured out and nailed down - my confidence going forward has been greatly improved! Whoooo-eeee!!! Just chill out. No one will ever be looked at as a scab - only people with seemingly no real understanding of the word seem to throw it around loosely. Morons? Eh, much easier to use, especially on keyboard commandos. Parasites? I would consider myself an unwilling one if this goes through - just me, though. It’s called an opinion - you don’t have to like it or respect it, but you do need to allow it and show grace if it differs from yours. Otherwise, look up the term Bigotry, which is a term that is also loosely thrown around these days without understanding. This is usually closely followed with a description of Hypocrite shortly thereafter.
All insults aside, I’m not sure how this will play out for the no voters a couple years down the road...
Do realize this is a TEMPORARY solution for a TEMPORARY demand problem.
Demand WILL eventually comeback, International flying WILL return, the better positioned we are for when this happens the better, for ALL OF US. happy voting, God help us all.

The cliff notes:
There is a false belief that because MPG doesn’t matter much to lineholders now that it won’t matter in the post TA world. This is incorrect. There will be a lot of extra lineholders chasing very little open flying. Most lineholders will end up getting paid close to MPG. This is the TROJAN HORSE of this whole TA. As bad as reserve pilots pay is being cut, the system wide average lineholder’s pay reduction will be greater (far greater than 17%, 28%, or 50%). If the average line holder usually was flying about 80 hours per month and his pay goes to MPG his cut will be roughly 25%, 35%, or 56%. Think about that point for a moment.

It's COVID, few in this industry are in a position to expect any income above whatever their normal MPG is; many are voluntarily taking less.
The question at hand appears at first glance to be: Spread the wealth or go with strict seniority? Collectivism or capitalism?
But the big nuances (so big that they're not really a nuances at all) are the enlightened self-interest of
a) Saving the company from the vast expense of massive bump-and-flushs (starting on Thurs).
b) Allowing the company to not paint itself into a staffing corner from which it might never recover it's pre-covid market share.
The CBA you save might be your own. The company you save might be your own. Big if's though, no way to know for certain either way from where we sit now.
From the perspective of an objective observer, the most virulent nay-sayers seem to be more concerned with their own short-term compensation. But still, tough call for the upper 2/3.

I’m hope that you’re right, but the Company’s claims match the current demand.

This TA gets 655 pilots out the door with the early out and buys us some time to see how the industry shakes out.
With the first EO, and the one included in the TA, and having until June to have more retirements, the eventual furlough number will (hopefully) be less with this TA.

Did you happen to notich how much our EO sucked when compared to others? Did you notice how few guys took it? And did you notice that the NEW EO only pays our for 24 months, compared to the last one at 36? How many guys do you think are going to take it this time? Why is this group giving up an additional 12 months of pay? Who came up with this crap?
This is a limp dick deal.

I understand the lack of trust in management but too many con arguments let that derail their logic and too many pro arguments are overly forgiving given managements track record. The infighting is embarrassing. It isn't an easy decision and anyone hard set on either end of the spectrum probably hasn't looked at it objectively.
