No changes to that order. EasyJet 319s still coming - initially to storage while we look at conversion costs. Rumor that we are looking at Alaska busses. Currently have 100 319/320s active.

Wouldn’t it be great to convert our max orders to 787’s as a 767 replacement, and to get a bunch of NEO’s to replace the max? Not going to happen, but a fat man can dream.

Can we expect the “do-over” displacement bid to open this week?

This from the union today:
"The 14-day window for displacement do overs (for pilots whose 07/08/09D displacements were not cancelled) is slated to open on or before October 20 and close November 3. An updated junior pilot matrix will be posted prior to the window opening and will include the results from the first 14-day window that closed earlier this week."
Curious what occurred during the first window, how many finally jumped on Capt positions and how many went to the 787.

Outsider here so forgive my ignorance. Am I understanding this correctly that under the LOA the company can still furlough up to 2000 pilots? So all these concessions could ostensibly save just 850 jobs under the original plan?

Pretty much. The difference is when it happens. The LOA kicks the can down the road and hopefully the situation will be different, although that was the thinking when the CARES money came in and things haven’t significantly changed in the last 6 months. Without the LOA, given today’s circumstances, the furlough of 2,850 would most likely have happened. With the LOA, the yes voters are gambling that things will be improving by June and the company won’t have time to furlough large numbers due to increasing demand. If that doesn’t happen, the no voters were right and we should have just right sized the company and settled in for the long haul. If it turns out that the recovery will be drawn out, the company will announce a big furlough, back out of the deal, and it will have been for nothing.

The company with 17B plus in the bank? Never. Had Todd managed to get something along those lines I might not have a different view. No. We just opened up the vault and invited Kirby in. Take what you need and furlough anyway! This deal was initially about preventing furloughs, not delaying them.
