What exactly would be the indicator of it working or not?
In your(or any other "no" pilot's) opinion what is the absolute rock bottom outcome of this agreement? |

This turd will fester for years. I invite the gloaters to come back in 5-10 and revisit the discussion.

The widebody ratio here has been incredible for everyone’s career advancement and QOL. Yeah, heard of Delta. I have nothing against that place. I have enjoyed UAL greatly since the merger and wouldn’t trade some things we have here for more $; hopefully things will recover soon for United, Delta and everyone else.

I think the bottom is ch-11, I believe we were on our way and I think this will move us there quicker. I also think the divide among the pilots will be worse than people think. But hey JMO.

furthermore, if United is not profitable enough in the next 5 years to trigger the 5% increase in pay, (along with keeping additional scope protections, high earning WB FOs and captains not taking a $3000+ /month hit if they develop unforeseen medical issues, etc.), Then I don’t think any of us will be doing very well and it won’t be the fault of the TA. if the temporary duration of this TA is ignored somehow, or the provisions follow us into bankruptcy, PM me and I’ll buy you a steak dinner and bourbon of your choice. If I’m right, we all win and I’ll still buy you dinner ;-) |

if we furlough less than 2007 people (thus allowing the TA to live out its full 2 years) during the worst air travel demand downturn since most of us were born, I would consider that a win.
