Training for instructors/LCAs should begin in December with limited flights maybe end of January but return to service in February mid month with Houston trips to start then LAX and possibly SFO or DEN trips (pairings/IDs) containing -9 legs. -8 shows up in June and -10 late next year at the earliest.

I’m hoping that they use sim space to bring current 737 pilots up to speed on the max before getting to pilots waiting to go to initial or RQ training. It’s not like we need pilots right now, and I’m still hoping to go a year without having to set foot on an airplane.

The best job in the world is the one that you get paid not to do. I’d rather the company be printing money and expanding like we did last year, but this has basically been an 8 month FBO. I don’t miss flying or commuting, and sitting at home non-qual is definitely the best place to ride this out.

I’m actually dreading going back to work. It has nothing to do with the actual job, but getting current again. I haven’t cracked a book or read a single pilot bulletin since March. I’ve even dumped most of the FOM. It’s going to take a lot of time studying to even be ready to go to school. Since I don’t even know what fleet I’m going to end up on, I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.

since we didn’t furlough the instructor group there are more than enough instructors to handle it.
