Always stylish to rip on the orange man until the subject of YOUR finances / career / retirement being directly threatened comes up. My last trip with an orange man bad FO (he started the political discourse, not me) looked at me like I had two heads when I responded with the same stuff I just spit out. Jet fuel just shows up on the gauges, like food on the grocery store shelves you know.

let’s stop making excuses - they lied. And while some may try to justify that as situational ethics - we didn’t want the great unwashed to start hoarding n95 masks like they did toilet paper, did we? - the realty is that Public Health and Preventive Medicine have always depended for their effectiveness on the confidence of the public. And lying to the public damaged that confidence.

So you deny settled science? That’s fear? Wealth inequality? Not happening? You rip on Trump yet you behave just like him. Hope you start with a small step by at least paying voluntary carbon offsets via the UAL app when you pass travel. That is if you can find a seat once we get down to a more environmentally friendly number of flights.

Either way the election swings, Trump’s in charge of COVID through January, when we’re much nearer to a vaccine, so it looks like we’re going the no-intervention approach most of the way there. Whether you’re for or against stimulus, Biden w/ a D senate would have been the best way to get that. At this point, if Biden wins, R senate will just block him on everything, meaning no significant changes on virus management, and airline stimulus far less likely. If Trump wins, we go all in on herd immunity, & stimulus is DOA.
