What elements of a "failed/absent" policy are there? What things of known immediate efficacy could the Federal government accomplish but refused to do so.
There are plenty of people at USNORTHCOM, NIH, USTRANSCOM, FEMA and others that would be interested in your input.

I’m guessing the same. Different countries have taken different approaches, and COVID just doesn’t care. Until a proven vaccine is developed and distributed that reduces the number of cases, coupled with a therapeutic that significantly reduces the mortality rate as well as intensity of those who do get it, neither the orange man or the dementia patient will really change much.
COVID is an infectious disease. It’ll run it’s course. Our feeble attempts may have a slight impact but in the end it’s a process that’ll run its course.

I will also add that we are in the current predicament because of the lack of leadership and a coherent plan moving forward. So we know that will probably not change because the rhetoric has not changed on the right. Trump is even reportedly contemplating firing Fauci. That is another stupid decision in a long line of stupid decisions. Trump is far from a scientist and is obviously not smart enough to understand what the doctors are telling him.
Masks? We're doing that. ... and at one point, Fauci said we didn't need masks.
And now what? Total lockdown? What happens when that doesn't work? Lockdown some more?
Just look around the world - lockdown hasn't worked.
The curve's flattened - time to accept that no matter what actions are taken, Coronavirus is going to run its course.

At a minimum, Taiwan, New Zealand, and Canada have made our efforts look flaccid by comparison. We ought to do better.

I bet that teacher who was decapitated would gladly trade their head for a benign case of Trump’s Covid -19
You see it does actually matter. Who you decide to allow into your society matters just as much as how you handle a Chinese virus.
Go ahead and stick your head in the sand. At least you have one.

Please go into excruciating detail so I can grasp a sense of your logic.
Thanking you in advance.[/QUOTE]
Your post did not indicate a 6 week election campaign; that's a totally different tangent. I took it that you were referring to a 6 week lockdown.

Arrogant statement to assume it’s blind following, he may believe in his message/agenda. And “No ability to provide leadership” is about as stupid a comment as I’ve heard claimed about Trump. You may not appreciate or respect his leadership, but he has absolutely led a change in American foreign policy. The GOP tried initially to disavow him and he has gained their buy-in and support over time on many issues. Just because you don’t like it or him doesn’t mean he isn’t leading. I don’t like him, but he is leading. And those with access to run the media are absolutely doing everything in their power to undermine him, and I get it, they hate his leadership style and his agenda.
