The MEC P2P update sent out on March 19 said they were going to hold the funds and, in accordance with the MEC policy manual, decide at the April MEC whether or not the fund gets terminated. At which time the fund will be audited to determine who gets how much... Could be a while.

That’s why I couldn’t be more pleased to announce that, at any time there are new-hire pilots on the property, we’ll be suspending the use of Paragraph I “Work Reductions” of the LOA. What that means is Line Production Averages no less than 72 hours, full reserve schedules, and full Minimum Pay Guarantees.

Depending on the current socioeconomic situation a new hire can be for the probation all year or they can get stuck at the bottom of the list on reserve for a decade or more. Always remember kids, reserve is a choice!

I was thinking that the industry was heading for another lost decade during the pandemic but the government did the right thing and bailed out the airlines. It’s amazing to see that things are looking up after a major shutdown just a year ago.

Wow, Another panicked person that needs their furlough fund money back so bad. Might want to get an answer from a financial advisor on how to get by, without the furlough fund for a few months.
