Does Anyone have experience with readysettakeoff.com to share? Also why such a big price difference between Emerald Coast and Lori Clark? Thanks for any help.

From the looks of it Lori Clark is all 1 on 1, whereas EC has a bunch of different formats (videos, groups webinars and 1-on-1 topoffs). Personally, I only used EC, so I can’t comment on others, but certainly felt prepared for the HR & tech portion.

I think RST probably has diversified their offerings, but when I did it, their program was tech prep for FedEx and Delta. RST for that purpose would be a waste at United.

I was invited to interview at United Airlines for the position of First Officer. I was told the interview would be conducted using the STAR format. I prepared by reviewing the STAR format and complied by answering the questions they asked in the requested format as required. I now work for United Airlines and in my spare time, I read forums where people debate on whether or not to prepare for a task.
and where can one find info on this STAR format?

I’d recommend Google.com. Way of the future. Enter “STAR format.”

Default What About Spitfire?

Long time lurker... First time account creator/poster...

I have been hearing from a lot of my military buddies about another option to the interview prep game, Spitfire Elite. They have been using them since they started about six months ago and have had an incredible success rate across a whole bunch of airlines (FedEx, UPS, United, Frontier... you get the point). From what I've been told they have a different approach that not only prepares ya for the interview but also to transition to being at the airline. I just wanted to spread the word and give guys another option as hiring across the industry picks back up. My unsolicited advice is check out all your options prior to putting down what for most is a sizable amount of money.

Okay… Highflyer35… yep you got me, total advertisement, for a company that I know has helped a bunch of good dudes land their dream job. But I guess I shouldn’t mention it on the thread about interview prep. Take it or leave it, doesn’t matter I just thought it would be helpful to pay it forward to those that may be overwhelmed by the options and may not have access to all the insider info that us mil guys constantly share to ensure a leg up throughout the whole application and interview process.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Any prep is good prep, and generally well worth the price.

But “I've been hearing” and “incredible success rate” trigger plant warnings amongst a pretty savvy population. Have you used them, or can one of your buddies give some testimonial? That will certainly increase the odds of people on here seeking them out. Or even, “friend of mine now at Airline X has started up a new prep company specifically designed to transition mil guys from single seat to 121 FO cradle-to-grave with resume build, interview prep, app review, CRM study, PBS/schedule builds, pay and benefits overview, etc., for a monthly subscription fee.”

I’d call it Prestige Worldwide though.

And welcome. Hope it’s successful.
