New Hire Questions

Also, growth of the LAX 737 base may actually make LAX the most junior base for a time. Pre pandemic the 737 base there was about 230 crews, the most recent vacancy showed it growing to 290ish crews... about the same size as the SFO 737 base.
Agreed with all the others who say driving to base is the way to go, you'll make more money to pay your higher taxes and avoid immeasurable stress. Life is short, time spent in a jumpseat is time wasted.
But, if you insist on commuting to one of the west coast bases, PHX/TUS and LAS are pretty good options. Both are relatively easy commutes to SFO, LAX, and even DEN. If living near PHX/TUS I'd lean towards commuting to LAX since the flight time is markedly shorter than to SFO.

Similar to my experience, minus the allergies. I did have some dry mouth and was drinking plenty of water.
