that part seemed strange to me as well. At the very least let a pilot pre-assign the the activity in PBS

I’m betting that almost all international travel will require proof before fully opening and that it will be irrelevant. I was surprised to see that in there though. This has some teeth to encourage getting the vaccine. Kind of like the inquisition.

It's not a temporary issue...so the pilot should consider bidding a different fleet (737 or 320) where their seniority can hold trips that don't require vaccination. We've been informed/warned - and there is a vacancy currently open with unfilled narrowbody slots.

I'm guessing they don't want the constant open time 'churn' that would inevitably result from pilots bidding trips they know they aren't going to actually fly.

I doubt it will be a problem. They told us which countries are restricted now. If we are on a fleet that will (or might) be impacted we should be making a decision on vaccine, paycut, or changing fleets. We have a vacancy open right now, so a solution is readily available to anyone on a likely impacted fleet who knows they aren't going to take the vaccine.

don't bid trips you know you can't fly unless you want the time off. It's only a punishment if you play into being the victim.

Odd. I know AA pilots who got over 100 hours of dropped trips to get a vaccine. Plus a vacation day. Pattern bargaining and somehow this is an amazing LOA? Confused about this celebration on here from an outsider perspective. So asking why 13 hours seems like a huge win especially with the trip punishment language you all just set as a standard if countries mandate a vaccine. Seems awful from the outside so I’m asking as this could set a bad standard for pattern bargaining.
