Part of the problem with American is that you have groups that "get theirs" and then screw everyone else. 100 hrs of drops is probably less than a fraction of 1% of american pilots and definitely isn't someone in the bottom 40%. This applies to every pilot equally even the junior and reserve pilots. I don't see how you could call something "awful" if you don't even have the full language of what was negotiated.

Countries ARE mandating the vaccine so you weren't going to operate that trip anyway and if you are adamant that all 3 available vaccines that have been administered 1.5 Billion times is some grand conspiracy... there has to be some accountability for a person's views. If you don't like the mrna jab there is the j&j which is a more traditional vaccine. You can believe and do whatever you want with your body but like everything it has consequences. We won't magically appease the vocal minorites on either end of this.

That sounds like the dumbest kind of #winning I can imagine. This is an across the board agreement that all pilots can take advantage of in a way that doesn’t absolutely destroy schedules. Many of us already received their shots and we’re covered so this is needed to nudge most of the rest over the line and soon.

And it’s tied to a profession that frankly requires it for many destinations we fly to. This is a polite and reasonable way to get it done. Nice job by our union and I’m glad this was agreed to.

Ah yes the old ‘“I know a guy who got” line. Let me know when that line applies to the entire pilot group.

I mean all their pilots got 10:30 and a vacation day at the least? So again curious how this is so much more amazing from their deal. Keeping in mind they aren’t punished for not having it like the ual langauage has. Again asking.

literally no-one is dying due to the vaccines. Most of us personally know someone who died due to Covid. And it’s currently rolling through some countries like William Techmseh Sherman through Georgia a few score back. But yeah funny so I’m sure it’ll get passed around the anti-vax crowd.

What's the punishment? Being dropped from a trip to a location that requires the shot?
