The company must really want something badly or they want to get ahead of the wave of new contracts coming down the pike...

Given Kirby’s aggressive style, I think he wants to be first to have a new contract.

The company's most pressing need right now is regional feed with the "pilot scarcity" so I think I can connect the dots...

If its not industry leading please send them back and have them fix it. The rest of the industry is counting on you.

Someone has to go first and get things rolling. Hopefully this is good news for the industry and gets the ball rolling for everyone.

It won’t take much to be industry leading at this stage considering that everyone is due. An agreement will need a significant raise just to combat what inflation has done since our current contract has become amendable. A 10-12% raise in hourly rates is just a cost of living adjustment, and as always, that is just one piece of the puzzle. Any agreement would need to be judged in its entirety.

Brilliant move by Kirby to go first.

A new hire here. How long historically do contracts become finalized after an AIP? Ball park.
