Would volunteering at an animal shelter be valuable on an application? Do they just want to see some sort of volunteer work, regardless of what it is?

Anyone familiar with how to print a pdf copy of the United app for review. I am trying to help a buddy out by reviewing his stuff. Shoot me a PM with instructions if someone has been successful with this. Thanks!

Top right next to "save & exit" there's a arrow pointing down into a box which let's you turn the app into a PDF.

Has anyone who has published their app in the last few weeks gotten an invite?

I have a buddy who volunteered at a horse farm on his application… he flies 737s now.

Biggest thing seems to be: Do you work for the competition? If yes, the other stuff matters less and less.

I’m at a wholly owned regional. I’m just trying to do everything I can to better my resume. I’m finishing up my bachelors degree and I have military experience. I am just worried because I have an initial 121 checkride bust. I know that looks bad on an application so I’m trying to build around it.

That’ll smart some, but get some prep company help on how to answer/own it and take some time to meet United at a job fair. That and time since the failure will help, in addition to a new aircraft type or successful upgrade at the same company.

It's never about the failure but what you learned from it and how you use that experience to better yourself and those you've been in contact with.

Anyone have the link for the internal app? I need the code to get back in. I interviewed a year ago but got put in the 12 month holding pattern. I have decided to go after this hardcore again.

You've started an app already on the new internal system already and have the code in your email... Go here:

You haven't started an app before... Start here:
