Is this really true ? You’ll never receive a class date with out it ?

Correct. Without the vaccine, there is no class date.

I know 2 republic pilots who go United CJOs. They were told they’ll receive class dates after they get the vaccine. One got the vax. The other is waiting it out to see how it goes. Last I heard United (intentionally perhaps?) hasn’t created an accommodation process for the vax. They’ve been “working” on if for at least the last year.

Default Travel for Interview

I have an interview coming up in a couple of weeks. I'll be flying in from DFW, and my interview is at 1430 local. Would it be a bad idea to fly in the morning off? United has flights every hour or two from DFW-DEN.

They want you there an hour prior, so you’ll need to be there at 1330 at the absolute latest. In theory it’s doable. I’ve always been of the mindset of getting there the night before, getting a good night sleep and not have to worry about your flights being delayed or canceled, but you need to do what works for you.

That would realistically be my only concern. However, I'm an early riser so I'd have to kill 4 ish hours in the hotel, and even with a late checkout I'd have to kill some extra time before the interview.

That sounds like a bad idea in my opinion. You never know what will screw up your travel plans the day off, Just book yourself a room and come in the day/night prior and rest up.

Absolutely this! Exactly what I did, and I was very well rested and smashed the most (and hopefully last) important interview of my life
