How do you “forget” to add a DUI.

Never underestimate some peoples' underhandedness. Even in this profession.

I should add some people also leave things like DUIs off their app specifically to be able to get through the computer and explain it in the interview. Not just DUIs but accidents, incidents, etc.

Had a buddy that got a DUI after his military finny flight overseas with a CJO inhand. It wasn't on his app but revealed it a couple days later at indoc. HE was terminated.

But maybe something like this? Hope nobody has to find out the answer the hard way.

Perhaps an open question, but how does United feel about changes to the application listed on the addendum when you interview?

Specifically, I took one course at a community college a decade ago and forgot to list it on my application in the education section. I only discovered I had forgotten it when I obtained my undergraduate transcript for the interview documents and noticed it listed under the transfer credit sections. It was an honest mistake, I included it on the addendum, and I feel like it's fairly easy to explain.

The rational part of me says this should be no big deal. I'd imagine they don't want to see any major changes like not disclosing a DUI or checkride failure. Ultimately United is my dream job, so I wanted to see if the masses had any similar experiences.

This has got me wondering now too. I filled out my app a while back so I don't recall exactly, but it seemed set up in such a way that you couldn't really list institutions attended but not graduated from. I took this to mean they just didn't care. Now that my app is locked I can't go back and see exactly why, but I know I specifically couldn't list a couple places I attended because I didn't graduate (ie there was nothing to select). Should I list them out now on the addendum? That feels kind of sloppy but I also don't want it to seem like I'm intentionally omitting them. This stuff drives me nuts...

Transportation to Interview

I am coming into DEN for an interview this week. I believe I've seen before that there is a shuttle you could take from the airport to the training center, and then get a shuttle to the hotels from there (I am staying at the Double Tree). Does anybody know more about this? Specifically, I am trying to find out where they pick up at the airport, what the schedule is, and if I need to do anything special to ride. There's no information in the emails I've got from United.

Found this, hope it helps. I took the shuttle from the airport to my interview. People were friendly and helpful but it wasn't exactly advertised before my interview. They did offer it after the interview as a way to get back.

With a 12:30 pm interview, is a 16:12 flight out too tight? I assume we take the hotel shuttle back to DIA or does UAL have one running?

thats kind of tight. It’s a ways to the airport (like 30 mins if traffic is light). Then there’s security and getting randomed (maybe).

you COULD make it, but that’d be too tight for me.

and yes, you can ride the shuttle that’s right there at TK to the airport (don’t accidentally get on the Sheraton shuttle).

I had the same interview time and a 530 flight and I barely made it.

I appreciate that. I’ll go for the 530ish

Do the review boards meet Wednesday’s and Friday’s? Or just Friday’s? I’m finding conflicting answers on this thread.
thx

Depends on what pilot hiring is feeling at any given point in time. It changes at their whim. At one point it was daily.
