It's not being cheap, it's more so the afternoon interview. I'm an early riser, so I'd have a lot of time to kill in the hotel in the morning. Even if I could get a late check out (I'd guess noon most places), I'd still have to find something to do to kill time before going to the interview.

I asked for late checkout and got until 1300.

That's great to know! Which of the 3 hotels did you stay at?

If it’s not about the money then get a room for two nights. That’s what I did. You won’t use it the second night, but you’ll have it to use all day.

Or just get it extended…. I know doubletree will extend to 1pm….

Addendum

Perhaps an open question, but how does United feel about changes to the application listed on the addendum when you interview?

Specifically, I took one course at a community college a decade ago and forgot to list it on my application in the education section. I only discovered I had forgotten it when I obtained my undergraduate transcript for the interview documents and noticed it listed under the transfer credit sections. It was an honest mistake, I included it on the addendum, and I feel like it's fairly easy to explain.

The rational part of me says this should be no big deal. I'd imagine they don't want to see any major changes like not disclosing a DUI or checkride failure. Ultimately United is my dream job, so I wanted to see if the masses had any similar experiences.

They will ask you at the end of the interview if you want to add anything that isn't on your application. Usually they're looking for (from what I hear) DUIs or tickets. But that is fair game too. That's an innocent omission that they shouldn't have an issue with. Just tell them you forgot to add it.

I wouldn't stress about it. I had a yes on my addendum for education, forgot to list something. Brought the transcript/supporting documents. Wasn't even asked about until the end of the interview during the legal questions - basically ask you the same questions on the addendum. Once you say yes for a change, we went over it in a minute. Offered a CJO later that week.

How long are people’s applications usually locked before they receive the assessment?

5 to 7 days seems to be about the average.

How do you “forget” to add a DUI.
