The problem is, allowing common sense also allows for normalization of deviance to set in too. So it's easier to just draw the line at the limitation and not exceed that.

To flip your question, you should ask: Do people really start the takeoff while intentionally exceeding aircraft limitations, AND perform a takeoff in a configuration for which there’s no performance data?

I get paid by the minute, but there’s no test pilot pay. So yes, I wait.
