So yes I remember.

So a two year extension in the largest hiring boom ever in airline history is going to make this practically a non event.

I know you are going to say you got stuck at a regional longer. Probably a better deal than in 1993 when I got out of the military and me and most of my friends were either unemployed or working some crap job. So yes everybody has it tough every once and a while.

You want me to cry for you go live in the slums of Mumbai, you got nothing to cry about.
You lost your WB CA bid in 2007 and couldn't get it for five more years? Which means you've been at the top for the last eleven years and want two more beyond 65? There are plenty of people here who will never make WB CA. But you're the one who has it bad?

2001-2013 was VERY bad.

If age 67 is law moving forward, everyone that can take advantage of it gets the same additional 2 years. And those hired in the past few years are making very good money (when compared to 2001-2013).

Enjoy the extra $.

So bitter. I can sense the hate in you growing. I bet you’re a joy in the cockpit. Are you triggered much? Need some emotional space?

Age 67 is going to happen, or, it will not. You and I (and ALPA) have zero influence on the process.

Relax. Enjoy your career. Fly safe.

I have made no effort to contact my representatives either in favor or against age 67. I have done nothing to support or oppose an age change. That doesn't matter; my problem is that like you, I'm just telling everyone the extremely likely outcome which is that the retirement age will change to 67.

They'll use the safety/science argument, but now that I've pointed out the elevated coronary risk of 50-60 year olds - you know, science - they focus on cognitive decline. Never mind that anyone who's studied cognitive decline would know that there's no inexpensive or reliable way to determine cognitive decline. No science, but that doesn't matter to them. Because we're all selfish pricks arguing for what will benefit us.

To be clear for everyone, I'm not arguing for or against an age change; I'm agnostic on hte subject. I am simply stating the obvious on the sugject.
No one cared or argued about coronary disease. It’s always been cognitive decline. Which is already a problem I see on the flight deck as it is. It is expensive and difficult to deal with. A great reason to leave it alone. And you have been promoting the age change here. You don’t care about science, stop pretending.

Everyone gets two more years, but they don’t get the same two tears. This is transparently false, quit pushing this bull****.

Two years is two years. Two more years to work. Or, don’t work. Your choice.

This is a lie. Two years being frozen in place.

Some get gravy. Some get sh*t. Others can even get left on the street.

everyone gets frozen for two years. everyone gets a choice whether they wish to work until 67.

stop the whining over “fairness”

what is NOT a choice is furlough, bankruptcy, second furlough

Total BS. Quote me where I have promoted the age change.
I have stated that I am neither in favor nor opposed to it.
