You're being ridiculous. Again. My reply to you wasn't about FSB. It's about you not giving a sh** about anything that you perceive to not affect you. And your hope that everyone else is as selfish as you are.

Stop being absurd. If UALPA had the juice to get $1000/hr and 60 days vacation, they’d already have eliminated FSB.

Everyone is selfish. They might SAY they are not, but every pilot will read future TA language, determine how impacts them immediately, and how it might impact them for the next 6+ years. How it might impact some 30 something new hire, or some 63 year old about to retire will be the furthest thing from their mind.

when the next black swan happens, all the “I’ll never sit reserve again” people will find themselves commuting to reserve and wishing they’d done something about it now.

No. I am senior enough that it won’t happen to me this time. When I was hired I was told 2 years to Captain, retire as a 747 Captain, great pension. Furloughed twice, Union threw my hire year group under the bus to ensure SLI approval…will never be a WB CA. Reality really is a bit__ sometimes.

Good luck to all of us if there ever is another black swan event.

With a name like yesto67, you just assume it's a troll. But even trolling about accepting subpar work rules can normalize the idea and that can be harmful. So trolls, maybe chill?

This is the most POS thing I’ve heard from a UAL pilot. Go eat a tick.

All that I know is that for the last year our MEC has eaten itself alive and we are nowhere near the industry leading deal we were promised. If an AIP comes out anytime soon that does but exceed what Delta has, then those who vote in favor of it should immediately tender their resignations.

While I don't subscribe to this philosophy, I've heard this on more than one occasion.

It typically comes from the group of people who were either furloughed 1 or 2 times, or those that spend a decade on reserve.

I get it, some don't have a lot of sympathy for the 1 month that a new guy spends on reserve, and no one is obligated to upgrade to CA at 12 months.

We have a lot of baggage here at United, and I think that's what is eating us on this negotiation. We can't even agree upon what we want.
