I could give a sheet where newbs are placed. They get our bidding leftovers. Bout to get a buck twenty in retro pay, we’re making $342 per hr to fly a guppy, and we’re getting a vastly improved reserve system. $10B baby. That’s why it passed by 82%. And if ya voted no? Tough sheet, go pee up a rope. AhhHaHa. It’s still your contract. G’day

I like the 95hr no abuse of sick leave language

I like our sick leave balance system. Got to earn it, before you can abuse it.

and of course our industry leading 6 weeks of vacation at 25 years…. Don’t look for that at Delta. No sir.

Edit: btw, with 6 weeks vacation and a big O’ sick leave balance accumulated over a couple decades, this job is like a really high paying part time gig. 😉

Good for you that you are looking out for yourself. Collective beneficial provisions will benefit the entire group, not just a particular segment of the population.

I've heard two different stories from MEC members on forced upgrades and that isn't one of them.

And I don't think arbitration would have taken a couple of years. We have shiny new planes delivering without captains to fly them. Do you have any idea what it costs to park those (or the older NG's it's replacing)? Our contract was blocking Kirby from his Legacy....it would not have taken long....

says you. Luckily, IT PASSED!! So it doesn’t matter how long a new version would take. Haha. Just enjoy YOUR contract. I know I am. That Fitty Two K (net) retro check that just hit the checking account sure helped. Tesla or Cessna? That is the question. The contract is done…. If we can keep it, we won’t get a new one for half a decade or more. So settle in.

With 12 Cap slots in the class, I believe some will get "forced" on the junior folks that are qualified. Lunch is prob very interesting today figuring out who among the 52 have the necessary time (or who doesn't) to be legal to get the assignment.

Ironically the ones that due get it will likely have a better first 9 months than the IAH folks as far as movement goes (especially the EWR and SFO ones) as I think they finally had some Captains take some of those bids on the last vacancy, so they can start bumping those bases back up in size on the FO side as well
