well for anyone “forced” into one right now it will be a year as the company has elected not to train under 9-K and has stated normal 500hr and full probation period.
rest of it , I agree with .

There is also LOA 23-01 C-1 A-N the company is citing AUG for some of those implementations

That was only for the probationary pilots awarded upgrades in the vacancy that just closed. That won’t necessarily apply to those awarded captain vacancies in the 10/31 indoc class.

so if the company elected to not utilize 9-K for vacancy 24-02V then those same restrictions would apply to any spots offered to new hires as a result of unfilleds from that bid.

There wouldn’t be a contract without the forced upgrades. At least not until we went through the RLA arbitration process, possibly for another couple years before being released to self help. Not saying we shouldn’t have gone down that road, only that Kirby said no deal without the forced upgrades.
