Wow lots of growth ahead for UAL pilots. 150 787s on order and 550 321/737s with an estimated $50 billion in total purchase price. Kirby sure is bullish on air travel.

the previous order was stated for growth. This order is the exact size of the 756 fleet. The 787 will replace the 767-300/400 1:1 and the 321 will replace the 757-200/300 1:1.

there are 114 planes in the 756 fleet. 61 are 757s. This order is as close as it gets to an exact replacement. I imagine the press release will be written exactly this way.

The 50 XLR’s on order were already stated as the 757-200 replacement plus a little growth. The 757-300 doesn’t have a specific replacement since there is nothing else like it out there. Could a 200 seat NEO be it? Time will tell.

If true then the total 321’s on order would be 170. Not too far off from the current Airbus fleet size.

United will have more WB than Delta and AA combined, it's pretty clear that United blows both those places out of the water as far as a career goes.

The CAL guys should be saying thanks to whatever god they worship daily for the blessing they got with the merger.

Just casually adding 50 billion in debt PLUS another 110 A/C’s, 50 of which are 787’s (expensive) with historically high interest rates.

What could possibly go wrong. The current administration running our country has been kicking everything down the road. Student loan debt repayments have now been halted for over 3.5 years and counting. Credit card debt like we’ve never witnessed before. It’s very expense to operate WB’s at a loss. Any type of economic rug pull would be disastrous with that amount of debt on the books.

Funny how nobody else except SK wants to chase the WB game that aggressively.

Repayments start this month, albeit, at a HUGE discount.
