Good insight and seems plausible. There’s been allusions to other 777 bases — with Russian airspace being closed, perhaps we ORD reopen or a redistribution of EWR slots to the west coast in a displacement. At any rate, the vacancy bid window has been unlocked for more than a week, so I’d expect something to drop this Friday.

This is why it is important to secure actual reserve and QOL improvements with any new UPA. No matter how senior you are or how long you've been with the company, you could see yourself forced out of your cushy WB seat to NB CA or from a WB lineholder to WB global reserve at any point with little notice. Unfortunately that wasn't important enough for United pilots this time around.

I had a long-time captain tell me, “ I have no sympathy for reserves because you’re either a new hire or you chose it.”

I was like…weren’t there people getting displaced to commuting to reserve like two years ago? Am I taking crazy pills?

Many improvements in C23...how much better does reserve need to get? Should we blow our entire negotiating capital next time on reserve just to kowtow to 20%?

This is why I bid down to narrow body FO. Once you’ve hit rock bottom there is nowhere to go but up!
