What’s everyone’s opinion on getting hired with a 121 initial checkride failure about 7 months ago?
Long story short, my sim partner fell asleep during the checkride (not a joke) and I blew through single engine RNAV mins. Went back the next morning and did one V1 cut to SE RNAV and was good to go.
I am currently in the Aviate program but my date is years away. I have pretty good connections within United that I could lean on if I must, but trying not to do that. I'm also prior enlisted military with a good record there.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. -TPP

It certainly will help to get a few more 121 rides/MVs under your belt so they can see that it was a one time thing, and not that it is going to be a pattern.
Aviate also seems to slow the hiring off the street if you’re in it, so you most likely still have some time to get some more experience under your belt. Keep chugging along and best of luck.

Upgrade quickly, kill the checkride, enjoy flying with your favorite Captain (you) for a while, and come over in ‘25. I’m not sure you have a more solid path than that. Maybe time at an LCC would help, but why even waste the time in class to trim off maybe 6 months to your timeframe and lose the guaranteed flow?
