Maybe I should have asked differently, what is the timeframe currently from CJO to class?

Is that for all bases? I'd heard it was 3,000TT in EWR but was able to get one in SFO at about 2,800TT last month.

It seems to always be changing.

It IS always changing depending on what the market will bear. Over time you typically get to a regression to the mean. FAPA gives a summary of major hiring by month and year.

https://www.fapa.aero/pilot-hiring-history

In the last 26 years the annual major pilot hiring has gone from a low of 30 (2009) to high of 13,357 (2022). Looking at the mean, the AVERAGE annual hiring over that time is 3276 annual major airline pilots hired, although there is some over representation in that number because some people hired at one major will jump ship to a major they prefer and wind up being double counted.

When hiring levels are high companies tend to overlook the requirement for four year degrees, 7-10k TT, 1000 TPIC, etc. . When hiring levels are low, just the opposite.
