Not all of us are rich or have a wife with a high paying job. A furlough might sound fun for guys in that position, but that’s not the case for me or the majority of us. I’m too poor to know what it’s like.

and yet, so many people were resistant to ANY change or improvement to reserve rules during the latest contract because, as one guy put it, “I have no sympathy for anyone on reserve because you’re either a new hire or you bid to put yourself in that position.”

I don't post here very often but I think I speak for most people on here when I say GO AWAY!!!! Why do you allow life to rain on you everyday? Your hobby seems to be come on the UA threads and tell us your dark pessimistic feelings.

I live below my means too. Have an emergency fund and all that, and don't need to pick up constant open time to make ends meet. I still would prefer not to be furloughed. Don't think I'm saying anything crazy, but some of us are fortunate to have the high earning spouse or family money. I don't have any of that!
