The UAL 777-322* airplanes aren’t approved to land or depart from ANY domestic airports in the contiguous US except for SFO and maybe IAD (if absolutely necessary).

*You must include the airline suffix in the Boeing 777-300 aircraft model numbers to ensure that no one thinks that CAL might have originally ordered them.

Well, I don't fly the desk with my OpSpecs, but anyone else's 777-300ER would have a different suffix anyways.

Also, didn't all the 787s start with a CAL order

Should I file FSAP’s for all the times I landed it in EWR and ORD?

I would highly recommend that, yes! And if you're not based in SFO then I'd just surrender your license right now because only that base can fly them, for some reason.

Well, duh....its because SFO pilots are the best pilots and only the best pilots are able to handle the 300.

Just flew with an LCA fresh from the Standards meeting attended by top management. According to him, we've looked at used 300ERs coming into the market and will continue to keep an eye out. The cost to harmonize with our existing fleet is significant and the lift shortage makes bargains hard to come by. Bottom line was no deals are imminent.

See, that's interesting.

I have talked to multiple PI's, APDs, and LCAs who attendend the same meeting and they reiterated the 13 300ER's from an asian carrier.

I was at the meeting, they seemed lukewarm at best about getting any of them…..I would lean to not happening.
