Even if you precooled the AC the thing has such little airflow it doesn’t even matter.

Edit: I have to add the new leather seats at airlines retain heat so well that you cannot cool off unless you leave the seat and let the air blow on it. Bring back the fabric even if it’s gross and looks like the 1990s. Or put some sort of perforated leather like in cars.
What year was this on the bus?? Hasn't been allowed to use start air for packs for a LONG time.

Still allowed at NK when I left, not long ago.

Not that I’ve had a reason to do so, but I don’t see a prohibition.

same. Use of conditioned air with packs is prohibited. But the start cart air works well as a back up when PC air doesn't.

Given these numbers, does anyone have any insight into why they canceled the second NH class in November? A screenshot was shared recently that showed the 12 November class was no longer on the schedule.

I don't have a definitive answer, but it may just be to give them a little breathing room, especially as we approach the holidays. They may be getting backed up and don't want people sitting around for extended periods.

December classes look to remain the same, at least for now.

Awesome, thanks! I figured the holidays may have something to do with it.

No no no. We don't do that. Preconditioned air or APU air only.

Your alleged anecdotal experience is uninformed/uninspired. But this is the internet, and after all, you could be a pilot wife or flight attendant, fanboy/girl, retiree, or even a mechanic (although I'd wager a mechanic would, at the very least, strongly question the illogical process of powering air conditioning packs with hotly compressed air that is only treated to restrict moisture on its way directly to the engine(s)).

You have to manually select generators instead of them just coming online automatically, use the 6 pack instead of EICAS, etc...... Those are some first world problems. Once you look past that, it pays well and provides a good schedule.

The APU isn't always the magic cure since some of them are weak. I write them up and maintenance says that they are within limits. One stupid limitation is that you can't run a pack if ground air is hooked up and the ground crews take their sweet time unhooking air when you call. I've started calling operations and telling them to hold off boarding until the air gets disconnected so that we can cool the cabin. That usually gets them moving.
Such a dumb limitation. I’ve had more than a few mx folks tell me the fears are unfounded, and if it is why is there no restriction to keep the ramp guys from hooking up PC air when the APU is already running?

Also, how hard is it for them to wait to disconnect it until the packs are running? You can hear it loud and clear.
