‘if I remember correctly it’s based on income earned during that year… so if on mil leave for the entire year probably not. However, once they return from mil leave they will be paid B/C fund contributions to their retirement account for the time on mil leave.

No. No profit sharing on mil leave at United. Delta provides this for their military members but it is above and beyond what is required by USERRA.

Side note Alaska just lost a class action about provided sick leave and vacation leave for pilots on Mil leave. I’m interested to see what United does now that the legal precedent has been set.

Probably nothing. Unless someone files a class action to demand sick and vacation leave accrual while on long term orders. Given that normal vacation accrual already occurs for the first 90 days of orders, I wouldn't see this being a hot topic to pursue litigation. I don't know what Alaska was specifically denying people while on short term military leave, but it doesn't seem like that happens here.

There’s no way delta pays this to mil out of the goodness of their heart. I always thought mil receives it because it is “pensionable” and receives additional 401k contributions. I could be wrong and cynical, just my feeling on it I suppose.

Does UA share DL’s same PS formula after the contracts? Is this the first round of new formula?

Yes we have the same PS formula as DAL now. This will be the 2nd year with the new formula.

The Q4 and full year results are scheduled to be announced on 1/22. PS calculations will likely be announced that afternoon or early the next day.
