No one is currently being forced to upgrade and it is only a fallacy today because hiring as slowed significantly. If hiring had continued at the previous rate, these people would have been forced into upgrade. I'm grateful that it isn't happening right now, but it is a big fault in this contract. Hopefully hiring remains at a reduced level where this doesn't become an issue again. Between Boeing and Airbus delivery delays, I don't see that being a problem any time soon.
cause I got a lot of ifs…
and where is PipeMan with more furlough talk?

My son in law was just an 18X who didn't make it into the teams. He's had no problem finding work in the defense industry. So a full up ODA team guy like yourself shouldn't have any issues finding work.

Still waiting on this one. Thai does not fly to the US, but is Star Alliance. Plus the direct tourism... However...
One problem is that unlike other many ethnic grups, the Thai population in the US is not that large. It's only 8,000 or so in the Bay Area compared to 27,000 in LA...little direct market and/or wrong hub to squeeze another widebody into.
Maybe it'll get done NRT-BKK on a 737 ?!?!?!
