you also missed out on being a junior pilot that had to commute to reserve, work every weekend, get the garbage trips that nobody else wanted (pretty much every aspect of “paying your dues” in the 121 world).

As is your "entitlement" lol

Profit sharing should be paid to those who flew the line and helped contribute to the overall profit. Sorry, not sorry.

Everybody pays their dues, just in a different way sometime.
"paid your dues" to the mil world.

False equivalency that it carries over to the airline pilot world.

All of that was YOUR CHOICE. To serve, be an officer/leader in the military, and even got to fly too!!!!!!!!!

mods, why, why, WHY is the quote function STILL FUBAR on mobile?

Former mil guy here. If a mil guy isn’t flying the line currently, then they shouldn’t be getting PS…. End of story, Full Stop.

Cant have your cake by not flying the line, not sitting reserve, flying crap schedules while orders and eat it too by getting PS that line guys who were on property for the year….

Now, if you have some eligible earnings, you got the PS amount that you were entitled to…,

All those dues you are paying in the military, you are getting some kind of benefits from it (Tricare, Retirement to double dip with, etc). Otherwise, you wouldn’t be paying those dues.

But did he eat his breakfast 300 yards from 4000 Cubans that were trained to kill him?

as a mil pilot… we also had all (save doing an ATP/CTP course ) of our training/ratings paid for by the tax payers… not a small bill to pay.

I paid for that training with 10 years of my life, 35 surgeries and permanent lifelong, likely life shortening medical issues. Oh, and I can't have kids, not because of an accident but because of a DoD medical department F up.

Don't tell me I didn't pay for my military flight time. I pay every day. As do a lot of others. Some paid the ultimate price.

Did someone force you to sign up? No we all did it voluntarily knowing the risks and what we were signing up for.
