"When you singed up, did you do it because you wanted to be an airline pilot FIRST with a lucrative profit sharing, followed by getting to be an officer/leader, and maybe even lucky enough to secure a flight spot?"

You might get more agreement around here if you weren't so sanctimonious about your mil career.
A lot of us served or still do. You don't need to make every post about your grand sacrifice. There are plenty of people who post here who went through extreme challenges and/or injuries during GWOT but don't constantly post about it.

i think you military guys should be thanking us full time pilots making good coin and paying taxes for the benefits you get. Free flight training, medical benefits, pension, sweet ass food at the chow hall, etc.

I always do when someone pulls the "thank you for your service" line. I got to have a good paying career, got to fly airplanes and do stuff that I'd dreamed of since I was a kid, my family was well taken care of, got great training, cool travel, made the best friends that I'll ever have, etc...... I didn't do it out of some grand sacrifice and/or sense of duty. I did it because I loved it. And you helped to fund it. So thank you.

You are welcome. Just for the record, i have no issue with paying these taxes or the military guys getting these benefits, lets just understand that there are multiple paths in life. They took one, i took another. I got to pay for all my ratings, schooling, etc. A lot of these guys got all that paid for.

See above. Whilst having the training paid for, they were getting paid AT THE SAME TIME.
